KOVAK are Annelies Van de Velde (Vocals), Karl Bray (Guitars), Darren Bray (Drums) and Martin White (Keys).

The Brighton-based electro-poppers came back in May from Toronto’s North By North East music festival in Canada, where they were interviewed on CP24′s ‘Noon Show’ in front of 1.2 million viewers and voted ‘Top 10 Critics Choice’ by ‘Now’ magazine.

KOVAK are currently recording their 2nd album with dance producer Andy Gray (Hard Fi, Paul Oakenfold, Gary Numan, Enter Shikari) at Arreton Manor, a haunted 15th Century house on the Isle Of Wight using a museum’s worth of analogue vintage synths. After a string of festival gigs, the band will be performing live for ITV later in the year.

Having had over 30000 hits on their last video for pop-tastic single ‘I’ll Be Good To You’ from debut album Heroes & High Heels, the band are in talks with legendary video producer ‘Tim Pope’ for their next video. Another music video for single Killer Boots is hot off the press and is due to be released very soon. KOVAK’s very danceable album track ‘Sex Electric’ is also featured in Michael Madson’s recent film ‘The Big I Am’ and the band’s music has also been used on HBO’s ‘Make It Or Break It’.

KOVAK have been running their very own successful electro dance night in Brighton; ‘Club KOVAK’ over the years and have had such DJ guests as ‘The Orb’ and The Go! Team. Club KOVAK will be back with more electro glow sticks and disco dancing this winter.

Singer, poser, loves beer and chocolate. Talks alot and is called Mummalies by the other band members. Bit of a tomboy.

Karl

Guitarist and backing vocalist, loves running on the spot and anything off-beat. Owner of eye-catching glasses.

Darren

Drummer with big side burns who likes to get naked. Has a passion for American cars and buys shirts with matching ties.

Martin

Keys man and cowbell hitter with a passion for vintage synths. Secretly plays the bass and is also called Marty, Mountain or Martellios.
